Every once in a while we make particularly special fittings sets out of 5,300 year old Royal Fenland Bog Oak. In this image, we show a “Lady Blunt” style violin peg, with wood naturally darkened after its millennia stored underground. Carbon dated to the same time period as Ötzi, the mummified Iceman, this choice of fitting offers a unique way to conjoin natural history with musical performance.
